Las Vegas makes plans for online gambling… Is NZ doing the same?

Las Vegas, as everyone knows, is the capital of land based casinos throughout the world.

Here, they are already making preparations for, if and when, the federal government gives the green light once again to online gambling.

It is probable that the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) is thinking about the rules that will regulate the land based casino operators once they are able to legally offer internet gambling.

It is expected that the land based casinos will be very keen to enter the new market, and it therefore important that the same rules and protections are in place for online gaming as for land based gambling.

Of course, this is speculation at the present time as the US Government is some way from relaxing their restrictions on the online gaming industry.

It would be interesting to know if there has been any move in New Zealand to work with the land based casinos to set up similar protections should the New Zealand Government relax their restrictions on online casinos.  The land based casinos in NZ are probably just as keen to open up their markets to online gambling too.
